Acceptable Use Policy

This policy sets out how you may and may not use Shortlist. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Honesty and no fabrication
- You must not use Shortlist to invent, exaggerate or misstate qualifications, degrees, certifications, employment history, dates or references.
- You must not forge, falsify or fabricate documents, references or credentials.
- You must not create application materials that impersonate another person or apply on someone else's behalf without authorisation.
2. No discrimination or harmful content
- You must not use the tools to produce content that discriminates against candidates or roles on the basis of protected characteristics (such as race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, pregnancy or nationality).
- You must not generate harassing, hateful, defamatory, or unlawful content.
3. No illegal or abusive use
- Do not use Shortlist for any unlawful purpose or to facilitate fraud.
- Do not scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service.
- Do not resell or redistribute the service or its templates as your own product.
- Do not upload malware or content you do not have the right to use.
4. Personal data of others
Only upload personal data you are entitled to use. Do not upload other people's sensitive information without a lawful basis.
5. Enforcement
We may remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, that breach this policy. Serious or unlawful misuse may be reported to the relevant authorities.
